LiveWell NKY
What Is LiveWell NKY?
LiveWell NKY is a movement of community-wide initiatives designed to improve the health of Northern Kentucky residents through changes in policy, systems and environments. Policy, systems, and environmental changes modify the environment to make healthy choices practical and available to all community members. By changing laws and shaping physical landscapes, a big impact can be made with little time and resources. By changing policies, systems, and/or environments, communities can help tackle health issues like obesity, diabetes, cancer, and other chronic diseases.
The mission of LiveWell NKY is to encourage communities to work together to build and support healthy environments, systems and behaviors to help make Northern Kentucky the healthiest region in the country!
LiveWell NKY provides a common framework, necessary support and inspiration for all of us to join together in a movement toward better health.
The Health Department supports LiveWell NKY, as does St. Elizabeth Healthcare and the YMCA.
