This free event is being held to further educate licensed facilities and the general public on proper food safety practices to reduce the risk factors normally associated with food-borne illnesses. The day will be filled with valuable presentations on a variety of topics.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates 48 million people get sick each year as a result of food-borne illness. Of those, 128,000 are hospitalized and 3,000 will die.
It is vital to understand your role in keeping food safe. By attending The Northern Kentucky Food Safety Summit, industry and community members will gain insight into the best food safety practice standards in the prevention of food-borne illnesses. In addition to being a great opportunity for networking, attendees will participate in interactive learning to further strengthen food safety knowledge.
