Kevin Kellner, Brittany Wells, and Julie Shapero represented the Northern Kentucky Health Department at the September Extension Homemaker leader training program for eight Northern Kentucky counties. The event was called the ” Mystery Dinner: The Uninvited Guest.” Kevin and Brittany educated participants on food safety while Julie played the role of Clostridium Perfringens and wore a headband depicting the bacteria. In fact, it was that particular bacteria who was the culprit for making everyone sick in the mystery! The Northern Kentucky Extension agents, led by Diane Mason, created and hosted the event which hosted almost 200 people. Hopefully, as a result of this innovative and fun program, people are more knowledgeable about food safety and will put all of the information that they have learned into practice.
