NKY Health’s Employee Assistance Program

By:  Karen Domaschko, PHR, SHRM-CP,

NKY Health contracts with St. Elizabeth’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to provide as many as eight free one-hour outpatient counseling sessions for each merit system employee and anyone residing in the same household as the employee.  The agency recognizes that most people deal with short-term crises from time-to-time and could use a little help.  Common issues addressed at EAP include depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, parenting/family problems, grief, addiction, etc.

Both male and female Masters’ degreed, licensed counselors who have at least three years of experience are available to help you.

The best part of the program is that it is completely confidential and anonymous.  NKY Health receives a quarterly report from EAP stating cryptic information such as, “one female used two sessions this quarter.”
