Congratulations to Elizabeth Bishop, health educator, who was recently named “Employee of the Quarter.” In her role as a health educator, Elizabeth promotes and protects the health of Northern Kentucky by promoting public health and providing public health educational services essential for a safe and healthy community in her work with our Tobacco-Free Program.
Elizabeth’s nomination notes that she “demonstrates consistently outstanding performance by providing excellent service leadership, building and maximizing relationships, and exercising good judgment, especially in the areas of tobacco advocacy. Elizabeth remains positive even when encountering roadblocks as she focuses on the goals of her position. She graciously offers to adjust her work schedule to meet the needs of NKY Health.”
She also consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty by tirelessly rearranging her personal time on evenings and weekends to provide significant support for her assigned program. For example, while still in her Introductory Period as a brand-new employee, Elizabeth leveraged the work that previous staff had done with the FFLAG coalition by bringing sequential steps and organization to FFLAG when the group requested assistance with advocating for a smoke-free city ordinance in Williamstown. Elizabeth used input she gathered from the group and community experts to provide key leadership in developing the advocacy plan and moving it forward to achieve results. Community members noted that she provided productive time, demonstrated infinite patience and a true passion for the work she does. Her words and actions communicated that she is a fantastic ambassador for NKY Health.
Congratulations and many thanks to Elizabeth for all her efforts!
