2019 United Way Campaign

By Stephanie Haggard, Division Secretary

Last year, the United Way of Greater Cincinnati was able to change the lives of 365,000 of our friends, family and neighbors.  This would not be possible without the generosity of many NKY Health employees. On Thursday, Nov. 1, you should have received an email from the United Way inviting you to contribute for 2019.  Contributions can be given in two ways — via recurring payroll deductions or a one-time gift.

In addition, HR also sent an email that contained helpful information regarding the pledge process as well as ideas for activities that you and your co-workers can use to help raise money for this important organization.

There is never any obligation or expectation to give, but if you do plan on giving, please be aware of the following:

  • All fundraising and volunteer activities should be concluded by Nov. 26, 2018 and proceeds turned in to Stephanie Haggard by Nov. 30, 2018. Please ensure that any checks from fundraising are made payable to “United Way” and that coins are turned into bills and bills turned into the largest denomination as much as possible before turning funds in to Stephanie.
  • Last year, we pledged $2,146 during the website campaign and held no fundraisers. Pledges were down from $2,445 raised in 2017 and $3,478 in 2016. This year, United Way has set our goal at $2,146.

For additional information, please visit the “United Way” category on the HR Site for Employees. This page contains a link to the United Way website information that may assist you in making your decisions and finding answers to your questions.

Regardless, if you contribute financially, your time or both, your kindness and generosity are appreciated.
