NKY Health received BRONZE level national recognition through the American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Solutions Index! This index is designed to help organizations assess the quality, comprehensiveness and effectiveness of their workplace health program and the heart health of the employees. The index score is based on two sections:
Section 1 – Structure and processes the organization has in place that support a workplace culture of health. This includes wellness related leadership, communication, partnerships, programming, policies and environmental enhancements.
Section 2 – Aggregate/non-identifiable data from health screenings, such as the Go365 biometric screenings we offer at the health department, which translates into a “heart health score” for the organization.
Because we were on a tight application deadline for 2018, we were only able to submit the information for section one. However, with just that one section complete, we were still able to earn bronze! When compared to other companies of similar size, NKY Health was on average higher in total score for leadership, organizational policies and environments, communication, reporting outcomes and partnerships! In addition, NKY Health is one of only just a few other organizations in the State of Kentucky to receive recognition through the AHA for our workplace wellness efforts!
As part of our recognition, NKY Health will receive the following:
- Congratulatory letter to CEO from the American Heart Association CEO, Nancy Brown
- Listed on heart.org Workplace Health Achievement Index Recognition website
- Plaque and window decal
- Digital icon badge of recognition level with American Heart Association proclaimer statement to use internally and externally on webpages, social media, and recruitment/retention materials
- Template for social media use (LinkedIn/Facebook/Twitter), and a template news release for company’s localized one-time us
I am excited to apply for 2019 recognition, and add in our Go365 aggregate data to see if we can bump ourselves up to a higher recognition level! Way to go, NKY Health!
