Supermarket Tour Offers Onsite Shopping Tips about Preventing and Managing Diabetes
Free tour led by diabetes educators
The Northern Kentucky Health Department and the Northern Kentucky Diabetes Coalition will host two free supermarket tours to educate people with diabetes, those at risk of diabetes and their family and friends about healthy shopping tips.
Tour #1

The tours will be led by a certified diabetes educator and/or a registered dietitian. Participants will stroll through the supermarket while learning about label reading, carbohydrate counting and pharmacy resources. They also will receive a reusable shopping bag filled with information and healthy food samples.
Space is limited. Registration is required. To register, email the participant’s name, tour location and contact information to NKYDiabetesCoalition@gmail.com or call Julie Shapero at 859-363-2116. Participants should meet in the café area of the store, located near the produce department.
