Learn How to Manage Diabetes at Free Class
Healthy Living with Diabetes Session Offered by Northern Kentucky Health Department
Diabetes educators from the Northern Kentucky Health Department (NKY Health) will provide practical tips on how to better control diabetes by offering two free classes. The first will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2018. The comprehensive education session, Healthy Living with Diabetes, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Center for Great Neighborhoods (321 W. MLK Blvd/12th Street, Covington, KY 41011).
For those unable to attend in October, a second session will take place on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the NKY Health district office (8001 Veterans Memorial Drive, Florence, KY 41042).
Topics will include: what is diabetes, healthy eating, preventing complications and more. NKY Health’s diabetes program is accredited through the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s Healthy Living with Diabetes program.
Lunch and a diabetes toolkit will be provided at each session.
