Diabetes self-management class
Get practical tips to manage your diabetes. Diabetes educators from the Health Department are offering comprehensive education during a free class from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, at the Burlington Fire Department, 6050 Firehouse Drive, Burlington, Ky. Registration is required. Lunch and a diabetes toolkit will be provided. Topics will include: what is diabetes, healthy eating, preventing complications and more. The class will be led by a Registered Nurse/Certified Diabetes Educator and a Registered Dietitian from the Health Department. A Taste of Fun for the Whole Body
Meet new people, laugh and try a new physical activity. Three sessions of A Taste of Fun for the Whole Body are Planned from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays, June 11 (chair exercise), June 18 (beginning Zumba) and June 25 (belly dancing). All sessions will be held in the Enrichment Center (upper level, project rooms) of the Boone County Cooperative Extension Service, 1955 Burlington Pike, Burlington, Ky.
