At its four county health centers, the Health Department provides testing and treatment for most common sexually transmitted infections.
The “OFF” Program is a 12 week weight-control program designed specifically for women and taught by Registered Dietitians from the Health Department. This scientifically sound program is based on the national bestseller titled “Outsmarting the Female Fat Cell” by Debra Waterhouse and consists of consecutive weekly sessions focusing on a natural way of eating that works for your body, not against it. The OFF Program is typically offered twice a year, in the fall and spring.The class is open to women living or working in Boone, Campbell, Grant and Kenton counties. Cost for the class is $25, payable at the first session.
Summer 2017 Session: 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays from June 19 through Aug. 28, 2016. All classes are held at the Health Department's District Office, 610 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, Ky. Register for this session.
Note: There is an additional pre-session on healthy eating from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, also at the Health Department's District Office.
Another option is a FREE ongoing monthly Weight Management Support Sessions led by a Registered Dietitian.
