If you want to learn how to better control your diabetes, you can get practical tips at a free class on Saturday, Aug. 19. Diabetes educators from the Northern Kentucky Health Department are offering the comprehensive education from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Health Department’s District Office, 610 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, Ky.
Registration is required. Lunch and a diabetes toolkit will be provided.
Topics will include: what is diabetes, healthy eating, preventing complications and more. The class will be led by a Registered Nurse/Certified Diabetes Educator and a Registered Dietitian from the Health Department.
The Health Department’s diabetes program is accredited through the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s Healthy Living with Diabetes program.
