Free Program Offers Diabetes Support

Thursday, March 19, 2015

The Northern Kentucky Diabetes Coalition, along with the Boone County Public Library and the Campbell County Public Library, are sponsoring a free program to help people with diabetes and their family members work as a team to more effectively manage the disease.

Two sessions of the Care Partner Program are planned:

The program, held in coordination with Diabetes Alert Day, will feature speakers Terry and Darlene Wiley. Terry has diabetes, and Darlene is his spouse and care partner. The Wileys, from Minnesota, will share their story of working as a team, information about diabetes and controlling blood sugar, and ideas for effective communication.

For more information on the program or the Northern Kentucky Diabetes Coalition, please contact Julie Shapero at 859.363.2116 or Joan Geohegan at 859.363.2115.
