If you have diabetes, the Northern Kentucky Health Department’s diabetes program is offering free, comprehensive diabetes self management education with a series of classes. Three sessions will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, starting August 26, at the Durr Branch of the Kenton County Public Library, 1992 Walton-Nicholson Road, Independence, Ky.
Registration is requested. A diabetes toolkit will be provided to those who attend all three sessions.
Topics will include: what is diabetes, healthy eating, preventing complications and more. The classes will be led by a Registered Nurse/Certified Diabetes Educator and a Registered Dietitian from the Health Department.
