If you drop-in on a play-date for local 1-year-olds, you’re most likely to encounter children named Liam and Emma, the most popular boys and girls names for babies born in Northern Kentucky in 2012. According to Kentucky’s Vital Statistics office, more than 4,500 babies were born in Boone, Campbell, Grant and Kenton Counties to residents of those counties in 2012. Babies who live in Northern Kentucky but were born at Ohio hospitals are not included in the data.
