If you have diabetes, the Northern Kentucky Health Department’s diabetes program is offering comprehensive education in July.
A two-session diabetes self-management course will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday afternoons, July 22 and 29, 2013, at the Cold Spring Branch of the Campbell County Public Library, 3920 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, Ky. The classes will run weekly for two weeks. Registration for this series of classes is required. A free dinner and a diabetes toolkit will be provided at the last class in the series to those who attend both classes.
Topics will include: what is diabetes, healthy eating, preventing complications and more. The classes will be led by a Registered Nurse/Certified Diabetes Educator and a Registered Dietitian from the Health Department.
