Diabetes educators from the Northern Kentucky Health Department will be participating in a supermarket tour to provide real-time nutrition information to those with or at risk for diabetes. The tour is planned from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, April 22, at Kroger, 8825 U.S. 42, Union, Ky.
Participants will get personalized tips for healthy shopping, learn to read labels and learn how carbohydrate counting can be incorporated into grocery shopping. Plus, all participants will receive a reusable shopping bag with information and product samples.
Tours will be led by a Certified Diabetes Educator and/or a Registered Dietitian.
